Sana'a: The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Sana'a Governorate, Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani, inaugurated today the second semester of the 1447 AH / 2025-2026 academic year. During the launch ceremony held at Imam Al-Hussein, Martyr Abu Ali Amer, and Umm Al-Mu'minin Khadija Schools in Sanahan District, and attended by Deputy Governor Eng. Saleh Al-Muntasir and District Director Ahmed Othman, Al-Jilani praised the dedication and steadfastness of educational staff in continuing their mission despite current challenges. He emphasized the importance of administrative and educational discipline to ensure a successful academic process.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Jilani also stressed the need for collective efforts to enhance the quality of education and its outcomes in service of national development. In New Sana'a District, First Deputy Governor Hamid Asim launched the second semester at Al-Nasr Bayt Baws, Sayyida Fatimah, Al-Risalah, and Al-Zaytouna Schools, highlighting the importance of strengthening discipline in the educational process to complete the ongoing school year successfully. He also called for giving due attention to activities marking the annual Martyr's Anniversary.
Meanwhile, Shura Council member Fadhl Mani, along with deputy governors Faris Al-Kuhali, Talib Dahhan, Mohsen Abu Hadi, and Fadhl Al-Qasir, inspected the progress of the educational process in schools across Bani Hushaysh, Bilad Al-Rus, Hamdan, Arhab, Jihana, and Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah Districts. They commended the efforts of educators in ensuring the success of the first semester despite difficulties, urging students to strive for excellence and compete for top ranks during the second semester.
Officials underscored the importance of adhering to the school calendar and implementing the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research's plan to ensure the academic year concludes successfully. They were accompanied by deputy education sector officials in the governorate Amin Al-Jalal, Sultan Al-Hakami, Mohammed Khamees, Tawfiq Taham, Ali Al-Omari, and Muqbil Al-Ja'adabi, along with education officials from the respective districts.
District directors also inspected student attendance and participation on the first day of the new semester, affirming that the semester's inauguration sends a clear message of continuing the educational process despite all challenges. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts to ensure the success of the school year, praising the discipline of teachers and educators and the strong student turnout on the first day of classes.
