Board of Directors of Information Technology Center Discusses Performance Progress, Directions, and Future Plans

Sana'a: The Board of Directors of the Information Technology Center, chaired by the Minister of Education, Hassan Al-Saadi, discussed the center's performance during 2025 and future plans in its meeting. The meeting included a review of the center's achievements in developing infrastructure, academic systems, the coordination and admissions portal for postgraduate programs, and the maintenance and operation of university systems, in addition to participation in research events, training, and capacity building.

According to Yemen News Agency, technical developments were discussed, including the "SAR" student records and affairs system, the issuance of electronic academic documents, the automation of postgraduate studies, and the construction of databases. The meeting also covered the operation of virtual and experimental environments for 30 universities, as well as the addition of advanced modules for managing academic operations and graduates.

The board also discussed linking financial systems with the Ministry of Finance, providing internal servers for the electronic portal to enhance information security, and studying an agreement with the "E-Saddad" platform. It was further agreed to support the universities of Al-Dhale' and Saada with academic staff. The minister praised the center's efforts in digital transformation and electronically connecting universities.

Universities and academics were directed to participate in the fourth Palestine Conference, with an emphasis on promoting a culture of digital transformation, transparency, and efficiency in higher education.
