Inspection of Work Progress in Clearing Al-Shami Mountain Water Barrier, Road in Qa’atabah

Sanaa: The Acting Governor of Al-Dhale', Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, inspected today the progress of work on the project to clear and clean the Al-Shami Mountain water barrier in Qa'atabah District. He also reviewed the expansion and paving work of the Beit Al-Shami road, spanning three kilometers, with a total cost of five million riyals for both projects, funded by the local authority.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Shaghdari directed the concerned authorities to support the Al-Shami Mountain water project with a solar energy system as part of the focus on the agricultural aspect. He urged the residents of the area to enhance the work of community initiatives in implementing projects in cooperation with the local authority and to prioritize the agricultural aspect and land reclamation.

He emphasized the importance of paying attention to water barriers and dams due to their role in recharging groundwater wells, which contribute to providing water for agriculture throughout the year.
