Board Reviews Procurement Reports from Public Entities for Compliance

Sana'a: The Board of Directors of the Supreme Authority for Tender and Bid Control convened a meeting today under the leadership of Engineer Abdul Malik Al-Arshi, Head of the Authority, to evaluate procurement and tender reports from multiple public entities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting commenced with a moment of remembrance for Martyr Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, Chief of the General Staff, with attendees reciting Al-Fatihah. The board focused on reports from the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, Al-Thawra Hospital in Ibb Governorate, and the National Center for Cancer Treatment. Several decisions and actions were taken in accordance with the Law on Tenders and Bids.

The board decided to refer several entities to the Public Prosecution and the National Authority for Combating Corruption due to violations identified in their procurement processes. In addition, findings from field inspection visits conducted by the Authority to various government bodies were reviewed, resulting in the decision to summon the heads of tender committees from those institutions to address the observations noted in the inspection report.

Furthermore, the meeting assessed the progress in preparing the Authority's 2025 Annual Report, ensuring that the objectives and timelines are being met effectively.
