Sanaa: The Council of Ministers, in its regular session chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, reviewed several agenda items concerning public services, national security, and Yemen's military support for the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Council listened to a report from Major General Mohammed al-Atefi, Minister of Defense and Military Industrialization, on the progress of naval and aerial support operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces in defense of Gaza. The report highlighted the continued aggression, ethnic cleansing, and genocide committed by the Zionist enemy. The Minister affirmed the Yemeni Armed Forces' readiness to escalate operations if directed, which would intensify the air and sea blockade and inflict heavier losses on the enemy.
The Minister emphasized Yemen's strategic deterrent capabilities and an air force capable of round-the-clock operations under various conditions. He noted that these forces could conduct missile launches and airstrikes against high-value targets within the occupied Palestinian territories. General al-Atefi also mentioned that the prolonged conflict has enhanced Yemen's military capabilities, including missile precision and the incorporation of advanced technology.
The report celebrated Yemen's historic achievement in repelling American aggression and ending the dominance of fleets and aircraft carriers since World War II. It marked a new era in modern warfare characterized by hypersonic missiles and aerial supremacy.
The Cabinet expressed strong support for the Yemeni Armed Forces' operations, particularly missile and drone strikes on key strategic sites inside the Zionist entity, including near Lod Airport, disrupting air traffic. The Cabinet praised advancements in hypersonic missile and drone technologies.
The Cabinet stressed that no pressure would deter Yemen's leadership from supporting Gaza until aggression ceases, the blockade is lifted, and occupation ends. Continued aggression will be met with intensified Yemeni responses, resulting in greater losses for the enemy.
The Cabinet praised Gaza's resistance fighters for defending both their land and the dignity of the Islamic nation. It condemned the daily atrocities committed by the Israeli enemy against civilians, which shock global conscience.
The Council also discussed a memorandum on unauthorized detention centers and directed a workshop for legal review. Approval was granted for reconciling government electricity debts and a draft amendment to the Police Authority Law to strengthen police performance.
A memorandum on regulating motorcycle use was approved, including penalties for violations. The Council received a briefing on national exams and praised preparations across governorates. A committee was formed to study creative project initiatives for sustainability.
The session concluded with congratulations to Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and all Yemenis on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, hoping for victory, unity, and blessings for Yemen, Palestine, and the broader Islamic nation.
