Sana'a: The Cabinet, in its regular meeting on Sunday, chaired by Acting Prime Minister Allamah Mohammed Miftah, discussed the general guidelines for the draft government plan for the year 1448 AH and its urgent priorities. In light of the discussion, the attendees emphasized the importance of translating the plan into actionable projects and programs in accordance with the main guidelines and urgent priorities across all sectors, and ensuring integration and coordination among government entities during the implementation process.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Cabinet stressed to all ministries and their affiliated units the need to ensure that all projects and programs in their annual plans address the concerns of society and contribute to alleviating its suffering and mitigating the repercussions of the Saudi-American aggression and blockade. The Cabinet tasked a committee with studying and evaluating the level of implementation of the law prohibiting usurious transactions in both the public and private sectors, and exploring legitimate alternatives to prohibited usurious transactions.
The Cabinet also discussed a memorandum from the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, regarding the printing of textbooks, the obstacles hindering this process, and ways to address them. The meeting concluded with a number of measures to ensure the timely distribution of textbooks to all students in all schools.
The Council also discussed the integration and coordination between the General Authority for Zakat, the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families, and various ministries regarding development, economic empowerment, and community initiatives. This aims to achieve more comprehensive and effective efforts and a broader impact on the ground.
Furthermore, the Cabinet received a briefing from the Head of the General Mobilization Department at the Ministry of Defense on the number of participants in mobilization courses. The Council commended the efforts made in implementing the mobilization courses at all official and public levels, noting the significant level of participation. It directed that these efforts be strengthened and that the directives of the Supreme Command in this regard be continued.
The Cabinet discussed several other items on its agenda and took appropriate action on them.
