Sana'a: Sana'a Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by its Information Technology Sector, announced on Saturday a project to establish a closed joint-stock company to develop and manage the national financial and accounting integration platform "Takammul."
According to Yemen News Agency, the project aims to enable the private sector to lead a national initiative in digital transformation and strengthen integration between the commercial and financial sectors. During the announcement event, Chamber Deputy Chairman Mohammed Salah stated that the project includes establishing a unified national platform linking accounting systems with banks, electronic wallets, and payment service providers through modern technical standards.
Salah added that the platform will contribute to improving the efficiency of financial operations, accelerating digital transformation, and supporting Yemen's digital economy. The event, which was attended by Head of the Information Technology Sector Dr. Mohammed Al-Shami and representatives of software companies, IT firms, businessmen, and specialists, reviewed the project's vision, the mechanism for establishing the company, and the opening of subscriptions for software companies and sector members.
Participants described the project as a strategic step toward enhancing the private sector's role in leading digital transformation initiatives and building sustainable national technological infrastructure.
