Capital Mayor Inaugurates Eid Clothing Distribution Project for Social Care Residents

Sana'a: The Mayor of the Capital Secretariat, Dr. Hamoud Obad, on Wednesday inaugurated the Eid al-Fitr clothing distribution project for residents of social care homes and centers in the capital, funded by Yemen Mobile Company. The project includes distributing Eid clothing to several care institutions, including orphanages, Al-Amal Girls Care Home, Al-Rufaqa Orphan Care Center, Al-Shawkani Orphan Care Home, the Social Guidance Center for Boys, Wujoud Al-Rahman Girls Orphan Care Home, and the Safe Childhood Center.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Obad, accompanied by Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee of the local council Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, Deputy Mayor for the Financial Sector Mazen Noman, and Chairman of Yemen Mobile Abdulkhaleq Al-Hussam, toured the exhibition dedicated to Eid clothing for residents of the homes and centers. The mayor stressed the importance of promoting the values and principles of social solidarity among members of society, particularly in light of the difficult conditions Yemen is experiencing due to the aggression and blockade.

He also highlighted the strong faith-based values of Yemeni society that embody the meanings of Islam, its principles reflecting compassion, and solidarity among institutions and individuals. Dr. Obad called on everyone to feel responsibility toward this segment of society and contribute to charitable work while strengthening the values of kindness, compassion, and solidarity encouraged by Islam.

For his part, Al-Naqeeb emphasized the importance of the project in bringing joy and happiness to children and girls residing in social care homes and centers, especially during Eid al-Fitr, as a reflection of social solidarity. He praised Yemen Mobile for funding and implementing the project and for its charitable contributions in various fields as part of its social responsibility.
