Sana'a: Districts across the Capital Sana'a on Wednesday commenced community events and meetings to commemorate the Day of al-Wilayah (Guardianship), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, then this Ali is his master."

According to Yemen News Agency, a preparatory meeting held in the al-Sabeen district featured MP Ali al-Kaboudi and scholars who emphasized the historical significance of the Day of al-Wilayah. They stated that the nation's abandonment of this principle has led to its weakness. Speakers at the event underscored the importance of learning from Imam Ali's life, particularly his sacrifice and courage, and called for intensified mobilization for central celebrations.

In addition, the districts of al-Wahda and al-Safiah hosted events where Fouad Naji of the Yemeni Scholars Association affirmed that commemorating al-Wilayah solidifies allegiance to Allah, the Prophet, and Imam Ali, while maintaining hostility toward their enemies. He stressed that this principle elevates national awareness to confront tyrants and those normalizing relations with America and Israel, asserting it is an extension of the Prophet's message.

Meanwhile, the General Mobilization organized cultural events in Shu'ub, al-Tahrir, Old Sana'a, and Bani al-Harith districts, with the attendance of First Undersecretary Khaled al-Madani. Speeches across these events urged widespread attendance at central events, emphasizing that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the importance of guardianship/al-Wilayah for achieving victory, pride, and dignity, contrasting it with the weakness caused by its abandonment.
