Sana'a: The Capital Sana'a Scout Commission discussed in its meeting today, chaired by the Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Secretariat, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, the progress of implementing the eleventh voluntary scout campaigns for community service.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the Capital Secretariat Scout Commissioner, Ali Shamlan, reviewed the plan of activities that the Commission intends to implement during the upcoming period and evaluated the progress of the traffic police assistance campaign launched since the beginning of Ramadan at various intersections and roundabouts in the Capital Secretariat.
The meeting approved the launch of the Holy Quran and religious hymns competition, the holding of a Ramadan evening, the launch of a mosque cleaning campaign during this week, in addition to implementing a clothing campaign for the most needy children in cooperation with the Zakat Authority.
Al-Naqeeb expressed pride in the participation of the Capital Secretariat Scout Commission in its voluntary service activities, noting the traffic police assistance campaign implemented by the Commission and its role in organizing traffic, especially during peak hours during the days of the holy month.
He praised the efforts and role of the Capital Secretariat Scout youth who are covering most of the capital's roundabouts and intersections in this campaign.
In a related context, a meeting including the Head of the Executive Committee for Scout Activities in the Capital Secretariat, Dr. Abdul Wahab Sharaf al-Din, the Capital Secretariat Scout Commissioner, Ali Shamlan, and a number of commission members, reviewed the progress of the service campaign activities and what was approved for implementing the Commission's upcoming activity plan.
