Mahweet: The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit has unveiled a new local equipment operation program in the Mahweet governorate. This initiative, launched on Sunday, is designed to enhance the capabilities of local authorities and bolster community-centered service and development projects.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Haneen Qatina and Engineer Shihab al-Shami have confirmed that the program is being carried out in collaboration with cooperative societies and the Executive Road Maintenance Unit. The primary objectives of the initiative include road construction, infrastructure improvement, and the empowerment of rural communities through the direct utilization of heavy machinery such as bulldozers and tractors.
The program also features the distribution of construction materials and fuel across three model districts, representing a significant stride towards sustainable rural development and better citizen services. Plans for future expansions of the program are already underway.
