Sana'a: The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Abdulmomen Shujaa Al-Din, alongside the Chairman of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Dr. Marwan Al-Mahaqeri, has inaugurated the implementation of visual monitoring via cameras and live broadcasting in several courts within the Capital Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, Shujaa Al-Din and Al-Mahaqeri were briefed by the Director of the Operations Room of the Judicial Inspection, Mohammed Arhab, and technical specialists about the monitoring mechanism. This involves live transmission via the intranet network during court sessions in the Capital Sana'a, marking a significant step forward in judicial development.
The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council highlighted this initiative as a transformative shift in judicial operations, emphasizing the importance of leveraging modern technologies for judicial oversight. He noted that visual monitoring would enhance public confidence in justice institutions and help identify any procedural inconsistencies or violations during court proceedings.
Judge Shujaa Al-Din reiterated the essential role of justice in societal stability and called on judicial workers to engage positively with this technological advancement for the public good. Meanwhile, Judge Al-Mahaqeri pointed out the efforts made to equip the operations room with necessary technical capabilities, indicating that the project aligns with the Authority's plan to improve oversight tools.
He further mentioned that this experience of visual monitoring is intended to be extended to other courts across various governorates. Electronic monitoring is expected to elevate discipline levels in courtrooms, with periodic evaluations planned to ensure the system's effectiveness.
Concurrently, a training course on computer proficiency and the Excel system for 30 employees concluded today at the Judicial Inspection Authority. The week-long course aimed to enhance employees' capabilities in handling modern technical systems.
At the course's conclusion, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council emphasized the importance of training courses in building human capacities and advancing judicial and administrative performance. Judge Al-Mahaqeri echoed this sentiment, viewing continuous training as crucial for developing institutional performance and enhancing the Authority's capabilities. He expressed hope that participants would apply their newfound knowledge practically to improve various aspects of their work.
