Beijing: Official data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Wednesday showed that car production and sales in China exceeded 34 million units in 2025, setting a new record.
According to Yemen News Agency, CAAM explained that total car production reached 34.531 million units, a 10.4 percent increase compared to 2024, while sales rose by 9.4 percent to reach 34.4 million units.
China has maintained its position as the world's leading car producer and seller for 17 consecutive years, with production and sales remaining above 30 million units for three consecutive years.
The new energy vehicle sector also witnessed remarkable growth, with production of these vehicles reaching 16.626 million units and sales of 16.49 million units, an increase of 29 percent in production and 28.2 percent in sales on an annual basis, making China maintain its position as the world's leading producer and seller of new energy vehicles for the eleventh consecutive year.
