Beijing: China’s Ministry of Transport announced the suspension of “port fees” for US ships for one year. The announcement stated that this decision comes within the framework of implementing the understandings reached during the China-US economic and trade consultations held in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, and after approval by the Chinese State Council, as reported by China Central Television on Monday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry confirmed that, effective 1:01 PM on November 10, 2025, the collection of these fees would be suspended for a full year. This suspension coincides with the final procedures of the US investigation (301) concerning China’s maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors.
The Chinese Ministry of Transport explained that the suspension of these procedures would last for one year. This move is considered part of joint efforts between Beijing and Washington to enhance economic understanding and reduce trade tensions between the two sides.
