China: China's car exports reached a new record high, surpassing one million units for the first time in a single month, amid rapid growth in new energy vehicle exports. According to Yemen News Agency, data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on Thursday showed that China exported approximately 1.04 million cars in June, a 75.1 percent year-on-year increase. Total car exports for the first half of this year reached approximately 5.1 million units, a 65.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The data also indicated that exports of new energy vehicles reached 523,000 units in June, a 1.6-fold year-on-year increase. Exports of this category from January to June reached 2.36 million units, a 1.2-fold increase. Exports of conventional gasoline-powered vehicles reached 514,000 units in June, a 32.7 percent year-on-year increase, while exports for the first half of the year totaled 2.74 million units, a 35.5 percent rise. According to the China Association of Automob ile Manufacturers, the automotive sector maintained stable growth during the first half of the year, supported by strong export performance and the continued market shift from conventional cars to new energy vehicles.
