Beijing: Profits of China's major industrial firms fell 1.7 percent year-on-year during the first seven months of 2025. Official data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on Thursday showed that industrial firms with annual business revenues of at least 20 million yuan (about $2.81 million) generated combined profits of 4.02 trillion yuan during the period. According to Yemen News Agency, profits of major industrial firms fell 1.5 percent year-on-year in July, narrowing the decline by 2.8 percentage points from the figure recorded in June. Profits of major industrial firms in the manufacturing sector rose 6.8 percent, accelerating from the 1.4 percent decline recorded in June.
