Closing Ceremony Marks Conclusion of Summer Courses in Sana’a Al-Jadidah District

Sana'a: Activities of the 1447 AH summer courses concluded today in Sana'a Al-Jadidah District. At the closing ceremony, attended by Shura Council members Abdul Khaleq Al-Mutawakel and Saleh Baynoon, District Director Abdullah Al-Marouni praised the success achieved by this year's summer courses. According to Yemen News Agency, the courses included a variety of activities and programs aimed at developing the abilities and skills of participating male and female students. The strong turnout and interaction reflected the community's interest in building a generation equipped with knowledge and learning, while strengthening faith identity and Quranic culture among students. Cultural activist Abdul Karim Atef commended the efforts of the supervisory, subcommittees, and executive committees responsible for the summer activities and courses across the governorate and districts, which contributed to their broad success. The level of preparation and organization during the closing events demonstrated the discipline and enthusiasm of the summer school students. The event featured poetry recitals and honored students participating in the courses. Following the ceremony, participants from the summer centers organized a protest rally condemning insults against the Holy Quran, expressing solidarity with Gaza and Lebanon. Participants stressed their total rejection of the repeated insults to the Holy Quran and the near-daily desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque. A statement issued during the rally described the insults against the Quran as a provocation to the feelings of the Islamic nation and a blatant violation of Islamic sanctities, calling for swift punishment against those responsible for burning a copy of the Holy Quran as a deterrent to anyone attempting to offend Islamic holy sites. The statement also urged Arab and Islamic nations to take serious action through wide-scale boycotts of American and Israeli products in support of Islamic sanctities and in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
