Sana'a: The Central Correctional Facility in Sana'a Governorate recently hosted a closing ceremony to mark the conclusion of its summer activities and courses for the year 1447 AH. The event, held under the slogan 'Knowledge and Jihad,' highlighted the achievements of the inmates who participated in the program.
According to Yemen News Agency, Captain Asaad Al-Bakri, the director of the Central Correctional Facility, expressed that the positive outcomes of the program reflect the growing awareness among inmates, which will benefit both them and their country. He acknowledged the dedication of the facilitators and teachers who played a crucial role throughout the training period.
Al-Bakri noted that the summer courses serve as a platform for building awareness, honing talents, and developing inmates' skills. This initiative aims to prepare individuals to be responsible citizens with a commitment to their religion, homeland, and nation.
Abdulrahman Al-Marouni, head of the Training and Guidance Department at the facility, underlined the significance of the courses in enhancing the capabilities of inmate students. He emphasized the role these courses play in broadening their academic and cultural knowledge while instilling core values.
Scholar Muhammad Al-Murtada, who also spoke at the event, highlighted the importance of such programs in shielding inmates from misleading cultural influences and reinforcing their faith-based identity. He commended the creative performances and contributions demonstrated by the inmates as evidence of the skills and talents they have developed.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates to 64 outstanding students from a pool of 532 participating inmates. Additionally, 27 teachers were honored for their contributions to the program.
