Sanaa: Protest stands were organized in Sanaa province today denouncing insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities, in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in solidarity with Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participants in these stands, organized by various executive offices including the tax offices, property tax office, the General Institution for Slaughterhouses, and the technical education and vocational training sector, expressed condemnation of the repeated insults to the Book of Allah and Islamic sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants affirmed that the systematic insult to the Book of Allah and the almost daily desecration of Al Aqsa Mosque reflects the extremism, racism, and hatred that the Zionists and Americans hold towards Islam, Muslims, and their sanctities. They emphasized that insulting the Holy Quran under any pretext or political or media cover is a moral and humanitarian crime that cannot be accepted or silenced. They called on international and human rights institutions to assume their legal and moral responsibilities and put an end to such offensive practices.
A statement issued by the stands held the US administration and the Zionist entity fully responsible for these violations. It demanded that Arab and Islamic regimes, scholars, intellectuals, and free people of the world take practical and serious stances to support the Holy Quran and defend Islamic sanctities. The statement affirmed that the Holy Quran is protected by Allah's preservation and attempts to harm it will only increase the believers' adherence to their religion and awareness of the plots of the enemies of the nation. It noted the importance of enhancing community awareness, consolidating Quranic culture among generations, and rallying around the Book of Allah and following the path of His noble Prophet.
The statement of the stands renewed the covenant to Allah, to His noble Messenger, and to the Great Quran to continue on the path of truth, affirming that the Yemeni people will remain steadfast in their faith and identity, defending sanctities.
