Coalition Airstrikes Cause Civilian Casualties in Yemen on August 30 Over the Years

Sana'a: A series of airstrikes by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition resulted in significant civilian casualties and destruction across various regions of Yemen. Nineteen civilians were killed and 11 others injured in four airstrikes on a water factory in Abs, Hajjah province. The coalition also targeted the technical institute in the same city. In Sa'ada Province, airstrikes claimed four lives, injured two, and destroyed homes. Further attacks in the region damaged infrastructure and properties, leading to the death of a civilian and injuries to 17 others in Sana'a Province.

According to Yemen News Agency, on August 30, 2016, airstrikes on a public transportation station in Taiz Province killed 16 civilians and injured 10. Residential areas in the Capital Sana'a were also targeted, resulting in deaths and injuries. The coalition's extensive attacks caused severe damage to public and private properties in Sana'a Province and other regions, with multiple airstrikes and shelling reported across the country.

The following year, on August 30, 2017, five civilians died in an airstrike on a fuel truck in Sana'a. Additional airstrikes and artillery shelling in Saada and other provinces caused injuries and extensive property damage. The coalition continued its aggressive military actions with numerous raids targeting Haradh, Midi, and surrounding areas.

In August 30, 2018, artillery shelling in Hodeida Province killed a family and injured others, while airstrikes destroyed water wells and fishing boats. The coalition's attacks extended to Hajjah, Sa'ada, and other provinces, damaging properties and infrastructure. Saudi artillery and missile attacks further exacerbated the situation, impacting populated villages and farmland.

On August 30, 2019, coalition airstrikes and shelling resulted in civilian casualties and widespread destruction. Homes and properties in Sa'ada and Asir were heavily damaged. The violence continued with multiple airstrikes on Bayda, Marib, and Hodeida on August 30, 2020, causing further harm to public and private properties.

The pattern of aggression persisted, with August 30, 2021, witnessing significant airstrikes on Marib and Saada, along with artillery attacks on farms and properties. Mercenaries fortified positions in Hodeida, launching artillery shells and gunfire across various areas.

By August 30, 2022, the violence had resulted in injuries to civilians, including a girl in Hodeida. Homes and properties in multiple provinces faced attacks, with mercenaries opening fire and shelling various locations. The ongoing conflict continued to inflict suffering on the Yemeni people as coalition raids and bombardments persisted.
