Sana’a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold and dry weather conditions across several governorates, with relatively cold temperatures expected in the highlands of various regions over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that nighttime and early morning temperatures will be particularly cold and dry in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Al-Dhale’a and Lahj. The minimum temperatures in these areas are predicted to range between 01 – 07 degrees Celsius.
In other regions, the weather may also be relatively cold, particularly in the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwah, Abyan, Taiz, Ibb, Al-Mahwit, Marib, and Al-Jawf. These areas are expected to experience minimum temperatures ranging between 08 – 12 degrees Celsius.
The center has issued a warning to elderly individuals, children, and those working during the evening and morning hours in the affected governorates and highlands, advising them of the potential cold weather risks. Additionally, it has urged farmers in mountainous areas to implement protective measures for their crops. People traveling from warmer to colder governorates are also advised to take precautions against cold shocks.
