Commemoration of Imam Zaid Martyrdom Launched in Hajjah

Hajjah: The local authority and the General Mobilization in Hajjah province launched the commemoration events marking the martyrdom of Imam Zaid under the slogan "By Allah, the Book of God does not permit me to remain silent."

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the head of the Republican Hospital Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashwal, the governorate's security director, Brigadier General Hassan Al-Qasimi, and health director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlani. During the ceremony, Judge Abdulmajeed Sharafuddin, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, emphasized the importance of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Zaid to reaffirm the commitment to his path and the methodology of the Great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He described the commemoration as a spiritual milestone that highlights Imam Zaid's legacy as a symbol of Islam and the Muslim Ummah's need for his example as a leader of a Quranic revolution that confronted injustice and tyranny. Judge Sharafuddin noted that Imam Zaid represented an extension of the authentic Muhammadan Islam, highlighting his connection with the Holy Quran as both a guiding methodology and the primary source of awareness and insight.

He further stressed the importance of linking Imam Zaid's revolution against the tyrants of his time with the efforts of the revolutionary leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, in supporting Gaza and the oppressed across the world. The event, attended by several executive office directors, social and mobilization figures, included a poetic recitation expressing the significance of the occasion.
