Discussion on Performance & Activities of Al-Masrakh Agricultural Cooperative Society in Taiz

Taiz: A meeting held on Tuesday in Taiz province, chaired by Deputy Governor Abdulwase' Al-Shamsi, discussed the performance and activities of Al-Masrakh Agricultural Cooperative Society.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the province's Agricultural Sector Director Eng. Abdullah Al-Jundi, Al-Masrakh District Director Abdulwahid Al-Jabri, and Deputy Director of the Social Affairs Office Qaid Al-Nahal. It emphasized the importance of supporting active contributors in the agricultural sector and highlighted the need for inputting data for the agricultural expansion project while identifying cultivated areas.

The discussion also addressed the competitive agricultural advantages of the district, the need to assess requirements for increasing and improving mango production, and the necessity of conducting a livestock census across the district. Additionally, the meeting focused on organizing the society's operations and tackling its challenges.

The gathering further stressed the importance of expanding membership in the cooperative, training animal health workers, loan officers, and unit officials, as well as finalizing the plan for the year 1447 AH. It also emphasized the need for opening accounts for economic projects, including plowing, veterinary clinics, seeds, contract farming, and agricultural systems.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Agricultural Cooperative Union Branch Amer Al-Ahdal, Basateen Foundation Coordinator in the province Iyad Awahj, District Agricultural Sector Official Hashed Abdulfattah, Al-Masrakh Cooperative Society Chairman Fahd Al-Husseini, and several social figures.
