Aden: The head of the Customs Authority, Engineer Adel Margham, has appointed a committee to streamline customs procedures for trucks carrying goods for traders and importers along the Aden-Dhalea-Sana'a route.
According to Yemen News Agency, Engineer Margham stated that the formation of this committee follows directives from First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah. A mobile customs unit, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and systems, has been deployed to expedite and simplify procedures until a dedicated customs center is fully operational, in collaboration with relevant authorities.
The head of the committee, along with the Deputy Governor of Dhalea and the Director of the Customs and Control Office of Dhamar, conducted a review of the ongoing work and the facilitation of truck traffic. They also evaluated the necessary requirements for establishing a new customs center in the Damt District of Dhalea Governorate, including arrangements for the customs compound's location and site.
The committee is actively coordinating with official authorities to finalize the essential procedures aimed at ensuring the smooth movement of goods and commercial trucks, while also providing customs services to citizens.
