Companies Union Sets Saturday for Start of Ninth Yemen Telecom Football Championship

Sana'a: The Sports Union for Companies has set next Saturday for the start of the ninth Yemen Telecom Football Championship at the Recreational Club stadium in Sana'a.

According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament will feature 22 teams representing various companies, institutions, authorities, and ministries. The Union announced that preparations have been completed, urging participating teams to compete in a sportsmanlike spirit and contribute to the tournament's success. It also expressed gratitude for the support and sponsorship of Yemen Telecom and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The tournament will officially open on Saturday with a ceremony, followed by two Group A matches: Yemen Telecom vs. Future University, and Yemenia Airways vs. Ministry of Justice.

On Sunday, four matches are scheduled. Group A will witness Yemen International Bank face the Military Cardiac Center. Group B will see CAC Bank take on the Palestinian Community, while Facilities Security will compete against the Ministry of Electricity and Water. Additionally, Yemen Mobile is set to face the Passport Authority in Group C.

The first round will conclude on Monday with another set of four matches. In Group C, Flosak Wallet will go against the Ministry of Finance. Group D will feature Yemen Kuwait Bank vs. Sana'a Water, Zakat Authority vs. TeleYemen, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports vs. Standards and Metrology Authority.
