Sanaa: The Public Telecommunications Institute today concluded a fiber optics training program for Sabafon company staff, funded and supervised by the Skills Development Fund. The 20-day program aimed to provide 30 participants from the company with up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of fiber optics.
According to Yemen News Agency, Executive Director of the Skills Development Fund, Ali Al-Qasimi, stated that the program is part of a series of training courses offered by the Fund to its contributing institutions across all sectors - public, private, and mixed - with the goal of enhancing workforce efficiency. He noted that the programs vary according to the activities and training needs of each institution.
He praised the efforts of the Public Telecommunications Institute in making the program a success, highlighting its advanced training infrastructure and highly qualified national staff.
Dean of the Public Telecommunications Institute, Eng. Abdul Karim Al-Ansi, explained that the training was implemented in two phases, with participants divided into two groups, each receiving 50 hours of training. He added that the Institute provided a training environment identical to real field conditions, enabling participants to practice on the same equipment and devices they use in their jobs.
Al-Ansi affirmed that the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Institute are committed to continuously updating curricula and equipment in telecommunications and digital technology to serve all institutions, noting the Institute's status as the country's leading national training center in the sector.
