Sana'a: The Public Prosecution Office in Amran Governorate has ordered the release of 34 prisoners in celebration of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi). This decision was made during an inspection visit by the Chief Prosecutor of Amran Appeals Court, Judge Hadi Eidha, and Criminal Prosecutor Judge Hussein Al-Rawni, who visited the Central Correctional Facility, detention center, and criminal investigation holding cells.

According to Yemen News Agency, the judges were accompanied by Deputy Head of the Grievances Committee Abdulqadir Al-Ghamari, Zakat Office Director Mohammed Al-Shahrani, and Criminal Investigation Director Colonel Awad Al-Tabeeb. During the visit, the officials reviewed various aspects including prison conditions, eligibility for conditional release for prisoners who have served three-quarters or half of their sentences, and cases of financially insolvent prisoners.

Judge Eidha confirmed that the prosecution submitted a list of indigent prisoners to the Zakat Office with the aim of settling their outstanding civil liabilities. This initiative was intended to facilitate the release of these prisoners during the holy occasion of the Prophet's Birthday.
