Kushar: The second phase of the road construction project linking Bani Shamayt - Al-Mudaya'a Al-Radm - Al-Maqarah - Hijrah in Kushar District, Hajjah Governorate, has been completed through a community initiative.
According to Yemen News Agency, the district director, Hael Al-Khumoosi, highlighted the importance of the 4-kilometer road in connecting several villages and easing the suffering of more than 4,000 residents. He praised the community's efforts in implementing both the first and second phases, reflecting strong determination and solidarity, and commended the role of the local authority in maintaining excavation equipment and supporting the Central Unit for Emergency Development Interventions at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development during both phases.
Al-Khumoosi noted that the third phase of the project will include paving the road and constructing retaining walls at various points, as part of continued community initiative and support from the local authority and the Central Unit. He urged residents to intensify efforts and provide stones needed for the paving works.
