Al-hodeidah: Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washli conducted an inspection on Sunday of the preparations and arrangements for tourism at the Al-Hodeidah Corniche and Al-Katheeb Beach. This initiative is part of a broader plan to ready open public areas for visitors during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Washli was accompanied by the Director of the Culture and Tourism Office in the governorate, Asad Basha, and his deputy, Jallal Abdullah. The inspection included a review of the progress in preparing service facilities, green spaces, and public parks along the Corniche and coastline. The focus was on ensuring that these sites are well-prepared to accommodate the expected influx of visitors to beaches and public recreational areas.
During the visit, Al-Washli was also briefed on the rehabilitation procedures for tourist sites and the improvement of public services. Additionally, he visited the 'Cultural Tent' in Al-Hodeidah to learn about its components and activities that emphasize the authentic Tihami heritage. He acknowledged the tent's role in preserving the cultural and historical identity of the region and in showcasing the governorate's folkloric diversity to visitors.
Al-Washli emphasized the importance of collaboration among all relevant authorities to provide suitable conditions and enhance readiness at tourist sites and beaches. He underscored the unique tourism potential of Al-Hodeidah, highlighting its appeal as a favored destination for families and visitors from various governorates, particularly during the Eid celebrations.
