Sana'a: Al-Haymah Al-Dakhiliyah District in Sana'a Governorate is witnessing developmental progress across several service sectors, with road and water projects taking the lead, funded by the local authority, the Central Interventions Unit, and the Social Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, in Bani Al-Namri sub-district, paving, leveling, and rehabilitation works have been completed on the 'Saeem-Al-Hadd-Al-Dar' road and the 'Sabara-Al-Khashabah-Al-Sayh' road at a cost of $311,000. The projects were financed and implemented by the Social Fund for Development, with community participation through labor under the cash-for-work mechanism.
The district director, Kamal Al-Askari, explained that the two projects involved leveling and paving two mountainous roads with stones. The first road connects the villages of Saeem, Al-Hadd, and Al-Dar, serving thousands of residents in the villages of Saeem Al-A'la, Saeem Al-Asfal, Al-Hadd, Al-Dar, Al-Maqrood, and Beit Al-Asili in the sub-districts of Bani Al-Namri and Bilad Al-Qaba'il. The second road serves the villages of Sabara, Al-Khashabah, and Al-Sayh.
Project engineer Abbas Al-Samman noted that the paved area of the first road reached 6,232 square meters at a cost of $211,000, while the second road covered 4,735 square meters at a cost of $100,000.
The district is also seeing the implementation of several water projects in rural areas with difficult terrain, including the rehabilitation of several ponds, supported by community efforts and the Central Interventions Unit.
