Sana’a: The Youth and Sports Office in Sana’a province, in coordination with the Youth Unit of the General Mobilization, concluded the Faith Identity Championship for juniors and cubs, and the Martyr Leader League for the year 1446, under the title “Our youth are the fruit of your blood.”
According to Yemen News Agency, the final match was held between Al-Sinwar and Abu Ubaida in the Martyr Leader League. The buds category final, part of the Martyr Commander League, saw Al-Sinwar triumph over Abu Ubaida with a 4-3 win on penalties, following a 2-2 draw in regular time.
In the cubs category of the Faith Identity Championship, the match concluded with the Al-Aqsa Cubs team defeating the Abu Ubaida Cubs team 5-4 on penalties after a 4-4 draw in regular time. Abdul Mohsen Al-Sharif, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the province, explained that the Martyr Leader League featured 16 teams for cubs over 12 days, divided into four groups through a knockout system. Meanwhile, the Faith Identity Championship included 16 cubs teams and 24 youth teams, organized into groups and played in an all-against-all format.
Additionally, the Martyr President Al-Sammad League commenced with the participation of 8 youth teams and 8 junior teams. This tournament will take place over two weeks with an all-player system. The opening match in the cubs category ended in a 1-1 draw between the teams of Martyr Leader and Martyr Al-Sammad.
