Taiz: The training course for the ‘Martyr Major General Muhammad Al-Ghamari’ batch, attended by 44 personnel from the Security Department, concluded on Saturday in Taiz. The course covered the International Computer Driving License program as well as typing and publishing skills.
According to Yemen News Agency, the 35-day course was organized in coordination with the General Directorate of Training and Qualification at the Ministry of Interior. Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Madani, Director General of Training and Qualification, emphasized the course’s importance in the scientific and knowledge-building path for security personnel, particularly in keeping pace with modern technologies. He described the course as the beginning of a qualitative path in security performance, requiring personnel to stay abreast of current developments and embrace technology.
Al-Madani pointed out that computers have evolved from traditional office tools to strategic assets, platforms for leadership and control, and means to enhance institutional performance. He noted that the training is part of an integrated system aimed at raising the efficiency of security staff, enhancing readiness, and enabling them to perform their duties with professionalism and precision.
He added that responsibilities are multiplying amid rapid developments and overlapping threats, necessitating heightened awareness and understanding among security personnel to confront challenges. These efforts, he affirmed, are part of the strategic vision of the leadership aimed at building a strong, scientifically and practically qualified security apparatus.
At the conclusion ceremony, attended by the Provincial Security Director, Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub, and his deputy, Brigadier General Abdulrab Al-Haj, Colonel Walid Naaman highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to training and developing its security cadres. He affirmed the continuation of training to advance security performance and achieve safety and stability in the governorate.
In a speech on behalf of the graduates, Lieutenant Bakil Al-Haymi described the course as a significant shift in digital security work, equipping trainees with technical skills in computer use, office software, and data entry. He explained that the course strengthened participants’ abilities to use technology as a core tool for developing security performance.
At the end of the ceremony, the Director General of Training and Qualification at the Ministry of Interior honored the Provincial Security Director, his deputy, and the participants with certificates and symbolic awards.
