Al-safiya: A 15-day training course on development work concluded on Saturday in al-Safiya district, organized by the local council in collaboration with Bunyan Development Foundation and Bunyan Training and Rehabilitation Academy, as part of the Volunteer Support Program. The course aimed to equip 18 ‘Development Knights’ with the fundamentals of voluntary work, resource management, community initiatives, and urban development, with support from the Endowments Projects and Agricultural and Fisheries Initiatives Financing Unit in coordination with the Social Affairs and Labor Office and the Cooperative Agricultural Union.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the closing ceremony, the Deputy of Sana’a Capital for Agricultural Affairs, Mohammed Sari’, emphasized the importance of sustainable development, utilizing local resources, and exerting efforts in all fields that serve the community. Director of al-Safiya, Saleh al-Maysari, praised the role of Bunyan Foundation, the project financing unit, and the Cooperative Union in training and qualifying young development leaders to stimulate local development initiatives. He urged trainees to implement the course outcomes practically and foster community partnerships.
Abdullah al-Ma’afa, the district’s mobilization officer, highlighted the need for trainees to design structured plans for community service initiatives, establish cooperative associations, and promote participatory projects. Participants expressed that the course enhanced their skills in managing community initiatives and cooperative work, appreciating Bonyan Foundation’s efforts in providing practical knowledge and innovative ideas for local development.
