Jabal al-mahwit: The residents of Al-Wasat isolate in Jabal Al-Mahwit District completed the second phase of the Bayt Al-Qadari road paving initiative, under the supervision of the Jabal Al-Mahwit Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association, and with support from the Central Interventions Unit providing cement materials.
According to Yemen News Agency, the works carried out included stone cutting, construction of longitudinal and transverse belts, and concrete paving over a length of 150 meters and a width of three meters, contributing to road improvement, facilitating vehicle movement, and alleviating the suffering of residents.
The District Director, Khamash Habish, praised the community efforts in implementing the initiative, which embody awareness of the importance of active participation in implementing service and development projects.
He pointed out that community initiatives represent a practical model for the integration of official and popular efforts in implementing priority projects, especially in the road sector, calling for the continuation and expansion of such initiatives to contribute to improving more roads and rugged paths.
For his part, the Head of the Jabal Al-Mahwit Cooperative Association, Mohammed Habish, emphasized the importance of enhancing community partnership and integrating efforts to complete service projects that meet the needs of the region's residents and contribute to improving the level of services.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Community Committee, Mohammed Al-Qadri, explained that the project is an extension of previous phases that aimed to pave and improve rugged paths on the road connecting Al-Mu'aynah village and the lower part of the isolate, praising the role of the Central Interventions Unit in providing 200 bags of cement for the implementation of the initiative.
