Conclusion of Awareness Program on Hygiene in Schools and Universities

Kharif: The activities of the awareness program for school and university students in Ibb Governorate have concluded. The program was organized by the Fourth Zone of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund as part of the preparations for celebrating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi).

According to Yemen News Agency, the Head of the Fourth Zone, Majed Al-Bukhaity, explained that the program included awareness and educational activities, as well as comprehensive cleanliness campaigns in schools, universities, and residential neighborhoods with community participation. He noted that the idea was based on monitoring students' behavior regarding waste management and honoring those who adhered to hygiene instructions.

He affirmed that the program contributed to reducing improper practices and promoting commitment to placing waste in designated barrels and disposing of it during the collection trucks' rounds, highlighting the importance of expanding the initiative after its success to include other sanitation areas and fund branches.

At the conclusion of the event, attended by the Director of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund in the governorate, Adel Omar, the head of the Environmental Protection Sector, Dr. Naji Al-Nahmi, the Head of the Sanitation and Environmental Health Sector, Ahmed Al-Jundi, and a number of school principals and parents, students who adhered to hygiene instructions were honored, alongside the implementation of a comprehensive cleanliness campaign in the neighborhoods adjacent to Al-Shahid Al-Sabahi School.
