Sana'a: The final qualifiers for the curricular and cultural competition for male and female secondary school students (science section) in public and private schools at the governorate level for the year 1447 AH concluded in Sana'a today.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition, which included schools that achieved first place at the district level, aimed to motivate students to focus on academic achievement, instill a spirit of competition, and measure their academic levels. In the public education category for boys, Al-Shaheed Abu Ali Amer School in Sanhan District secured first place, followed by Al-Shaheed Al-Qasimi School in Manakha District in second place, and Al-Shaheed Abu Mohammed Al-Husseini School in Bani Hushaish District in third place.
For private education, Al-Qiyam School in Sanhan District emerged victorious among male secondary school students, with Rawad Al-Teknolojia School in Hamdan District and Nahj Al-Awa'il School in Sana'a Al-Jadida District taking second and third places, respectively. In the public education category for female students, Umm Al-Mu'minin Khadija Secondary School in Sanhan District and Al-Nasr "Bayt Bous" School in Sana'a Al-Jadida District shared the first-place position. Al-Zahra School in Al-Sabhah in Bani Matar District took second, and Al-Zahra School in Shumlan in Hamdan District secured third place.
In the private schools' competition for female students, Al-Qiyam School in Sanhan District claimed first place, followed by Anwar Al-Ula School in Hamdan District in second place, and Al-Nasser Al-Haditha School in Sana'a Al-Jadida District in third place.
At the conclusion of the competition, Najib Al-Mutari, Director-General of Examinations at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, highlighted the importance of such competitions in enhancing scientific competitiveness and improving the educational process. He appreciated the resilience of the educational front despite challenges and emphasized the need to strengthen intellectual and cultural fortification against foreign cultural influences.
Meanwhile, Talib Dahhan, the Education Sector official in the governorate, noted that the automated method of conducting the competition serves as a motivation for students, enhancing their academic achievement and developing their educational and scientific capacities. The event was attended by various education officials, including Deputy Education Sector officials Mohammed Khamis and Sultan Al-Hakmi, and showcased the talents and creative endeavors of students across various fields.
