Al-bayda: A training workshop on the Integrated Development Work Model, Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA), and the mechanism for preparing the tripartite strategic plan, organized by the Planning Sector in the governorate, concluded today in Al-Bayda Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop aimed to enhance the capacities of 40 participants from the districts of Rada'a, Ash-Shariyah, Sabah, Ar-Ryashiyah, Al-Arsh, Walad Rabi', and Al-Qurayshiyah. The focus was on enabling participants to apply modern methodologies in development planning rooted in community participation, thereby transitioning from traditional planning to planning based on data and the actual needs of the community, according to an integrated development model.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Saiqal emphasized the significance of the course as a fundamental pillar for advancing the development reality in the governorate. He highlighted that the course aims to raise the capabilities of participants in qualitative research and sound planning based on community participation. This approach seeks to accurately identify needs and achieve a developmental renaissance at the district and sub-district levels.
Al-Saiqal further affirmed the necessity for everyone to assume responsibility for implementing the course outcomes. These outcomes will form a roadmap for developing sustainable programs and projects in the districts by focusing on integration between available resources and the needs of the local community in the governorate.
Mohammed Al-Maqbali, the official in charge of planning in the governorate, considered the holding of the course an important step for diagnosing development priorities in the human, social, and economic fields. This will enable the development of practical solutions that contribute to achieving sustainable development.
Al-Maqbali pointed out that the training program included theoretical and practical components addressing the concept of the Integrated Development Work Model, mechanisms of Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA), steps for preparing the tripartite strategic plan, and the mechanism for preparing the annual executive plan according to scientific and methodological foundations.
He stated that the workshop is part of the Planning Sector's efforts in the governorate to raise the efficiency of planning performance and enhance integration among local entities, thereby contributing to achieving comprehensive development goals.
