Finance Minister and Hodeida Governor Launch Latest CT Scanner at Al-Thawra Hospital

Hodeida: Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Ahmed and Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi inaugurated on Thursday the operation of the newest CT scanner at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Hodeida. During the visit, Minister Abduljabbar praised the hospital's development and its staff's efforts, highlighting its role as a model among public health facilities nationwide.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Abduljabbar urged other hospitals to adopt Al-Thawra's approach and announced instructions from the President of the Supreme Political Council to provide a lithium battery for the hospital to ease electricity burdens, with implementation expected within two months.

Governor Atifi emphasized that Al-Thawra Hospital is a cornerstone of healthcare services in the province, serving large numbers of patients. He noted that the new CT scanner will reduce the need for referrals outside the province.

Dr. Khaled Suhail, Head of Al-Thawra Hospital, expressed appreciation for the support and confirmed that the new CT scanner would significantly enhance diagnostic capabilities, especially for heart, stroke, and trauma patients.

The visit included a tour of the hospital's various departments, including intensive care units, dialysis, emergency services, and specialized clinics.
