Sana'a: Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital, Hamoud al-Naqeeb, undertook an inspection of the Central Reformative Facility in Sana'a to evaluate its conditions and services, particularly focusing on the health and rehabilitation facilities available to detainees.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Naqeeb was accompanied by Dr. Mutahar al-Maroni, the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the capital. The duo toured various sections of the facility including the health clinic, and workshops dedicated to sewing, leather, and carpentry, as well as the rehabilitation programs designed for detainees. During their visit, they were briefed by Colonel Ali Abu Kahla, the Director of the Reformative Facility, on the healthcare services provided to both male and female detainees, the training and rehabilitation programs, and the current status and needs of the workshops and facilities.
Al-Naqeeb stated that the visit was in line with the directives from the leader of the revolution and the Supreme Political Council. The aim was to assess the conditions of detainees, address their needs, and emphasize humanitarian, health, and rehabilitation aspects. He lauded the efforts of the Ministries of Justice, Human Rights, and Interior in executing the expansion project for the facility in Sana'a, and acknowledged the leadership at the reformative center for their dedication to caring for and rehabilitating detainees while improving service delivery.
He further emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts among relevant authorities to fulfill the needs of the reformative facility, enhance detainee conditions, and support educational and vocational rehabilitation programs that offer various benefits to the detainees.
