Sana'a: A meeting bringing together the Deputy Minister of Local and Rural Administration, Nasser Al Mahdar, and the Deputy Minister of Information, Dr. Omar Al Bukhaiti, discussed aspects of coordination and cooperation between the two ministries regarding awareness and education on development issues and priorities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Local Administration for Rural Development, Ahmed Al Haij, the Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, Jamal Al Alawi, and a number of concerned parties from both ministries. They reviewed the tasks, roles, and coordination mechanisms related to raising community awareness on development issues and priorities.
The meeting affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation and integration between the two ministries in implementing the directives of the Leader of the Revolution in his speech yesterday. These directives emphasized support for development issues and priorities, focusing on providing food, clothing, and medicine, and supporting productive families to achieve self-sufficiency and reduce the import bill.
The discussions also highlighted the active role of media in raising awareness and educating the public about the positive impact of boycotting American and Zionist goods. This boycott is seen as a way to preserve public health, stimulate local production, and support local products, aligning with national goals of achieving self-sufficiency and economic advancement.
Both sides affirmed that Yemen possesses local resources and wealth in various agricultural and economic fields, which can lead to genuine and sustainable development across all administrative units.
