Sanaa: The Correction Movement strongly condemned the criminal and treacherous American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. A statement issued by the movement’s Supreme Committee, received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), considered this aggression a blatant violation of the sovereignty of an independent state, a flagrant transgression of international law, the UN Charter, and international humanitarian norms and conventions, and a dangerous escalation that undermines the foundations of the international order and regional stability.
According to Yemen News Agency, the statement affirmed that this aggression comes within the context of an open war targeting resistance forces in the region. It represents an extension of the policies of aggression and siege that have affected Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and other arenas of confrontation, in an attempt to reimpose hegemonic power by force, after failing to break the will of the Palestinian people and their legendary steadfastness in Gaza.
The organization believes that targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be separated from a broader context of American military and political pressures and actions in the region, and the preceding escalation and statements confirming an approach based on forcibly imposing the establishment of a “Greater Israel.”
It considered targeting Iran a direct attack on the sovereignty of the region’s countries and the right of their peoples to independence, freedom, progress, and development.
It expressed its full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran-its leadership, government, and people-and with its legitimate right to defend its sovereignty, security, and independence. It also expressed its strong confidence in Iran’s ability to respond in a way that maintains the balance of deterrence and thwarts the aggressors’ objectives.
The organization also emphasized the inevitability of a shared destiny for the Arab and Islamic nations, given their interconnected geography and overlapping interests. It called for strengthening the principles of solidarity and unity, and adhering to universal moral values that protect societies from projects of polarization and conflict.
It affirmed that the current stage requires a comprehensive political awareness that transcends divisions and strengthens unity in the face of aggression. It asserted that the nation’s struggle against the Zionist project is a battle for existence and sovereignty, and that the will of free peoples is capable of thwarting the plans of aggression, no matter how extensive or formidable.
The organization called for urgent political and diplomatic action at the regional and international levels to halt the aggression, and for bolstering the unified stance among resistance forces, thereby supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who are at the heart of the conflict and its central compass.
