Sana'a: The Nasserist Popular Correction Organization strongly condemned the Saudi airstrike on Sana'a International Airport, describing it as a flagrant violation of Yemen's sovereignty, a serious threat to the peace process, and the current de-escalation phase.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization stated that the attack on the airport demonstrates the continued targeting of the Yemeni people's resources, infrastructure, and vital service facilities. These facilities serve as a lifeline for civilians amid an 11-year blockade that has exacerbated humanitarian suffering.
The organization emphasized that the strike constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and reflects Saudi Arabia's disregard for international norms and conventions that protect civilian facilities and ensure the safety of air navigation.
Reaffirming the Yemeni people's legitimate right to defend their sovereignty and territory, the organization praised the measures taken by the revolutionary and political leadership to strengthen resilience, protect national assets, confront aggression, and break the blockade.
The statement held Saudi Arabia responsible for the consequences of the continued military campaign, the prolonged blockade, and attempts to undermine the roadmap. It also praised the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for Yemen's resilience and efforts to break the blockade.
The organization called on Arab and Islamic countries to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities toward the Yemeni people by condemning repeated attacks on civilian facilities and pressing for an end to the blockade and the military campaign.
Furthermore, it urged the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by taking serious measures to stop attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen.
