Sana'a: The Parliament strongly condemned and denounced the Saudi regime's targeting of Sana'a International Airport.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Parliament issued a statement today considering the targeting of Sana'a Airport with a series of airstrikes as a violation of Yemeni sovereignty, a dangerous escalation of the peace path and the de-escalation phase, and a flagrant disregard for all its commitments to the Yemeni people's entitlements.
The Parliament held the Saudi regime responsible for the consequences of its aggression on Yemen, pointing out that its escalation, driven by American and Israeli motives, aims to prolong the siege on Yemeni airports and ports, circumvent peace efforts, evade the implementation of the roadmap, and persist in depriving thousands of Yemeni patients, travelers, and students of the most basic rights guaranteed by all international laws.
The statement emphasized that targeting airports, ports, and civilian objects represents a crime added to the series of offenses committed by the Saudi regime in Yemen, a blatant violation of Yemeni airspace, and an intensification of the siege to restrict the Yemeni people and increase their suffering.
The Parliament noted its previous calls to parliaments and free people worldwide to advise the Saudi regime to reconsider its calculations. However, the regime persisted in its actions, refusing to listen to reason, disregarding human rights, and continuing to commit more crimes against the Yemeni people.
The Parliament renewed its call on Arab, regional, and international parliaments, the international community, the United Nations, relevant international humanitarian organizations, and free people of the world to condemn and denounce this crime, urging them to assume their responsibilities towards the aggression and unjust siege endured by the Yemeni people for more than ten years.
Finally, the Parliament reiterated its stance that the Saudi regime is responsible for the consequences of its escalation and its violation of the principles of international and humanitarian law, noting that its targeting of Sana'a Airport today aligns with its efforts to continue the imposed siege and its attempt to exert control over Yemen.
