Taiz: The Cultural Women's Committee of Taiz Governorate held a speech event on Sunday to mark the 11th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. The participants' speeches emphasized that the revolution restored Yemen's sovereign decision-making, as well as the dignity and pride of its people, while thwarting the enemies' schemes to undermine the nation's resources.
According to Yemen News Agency, they expressed pride in the achievements made over the 11 years of the revolution, most notably the liberation from foreign tutelage and dependence. Following the event, the women of Taiz organized a solidarity stand with the Palestinian people, during which they chanted slogans condemning the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against the people of Gaza.
A statement issued during the stand denounced the silence of the international community, as well as the negative stance of the collaborating Arab regimes regarding the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people. The statement also condemned the crime committed against Aftahan Al-Mashhari, Director of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund in the occupied city of Taiz, by the aggression's mercenaries.
