Sana'a: The cultural and artistic competition organized by the Vice Presidency of Sana'a University for Student Affairs, represented by the General Administration of Student Activities and the University Student Forum, was launched today at Sana'a University, coinciding with the commemoration of the noble Prophet's Birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, on its first day, the competition began with contests in Quran memorization, folk poetry (Al-Bar'ah), and choral singing in prophetic praise (Al-Madih Al-Nabawi). These activities were evaluated by a specialized judging committee that assessed the performances of participants from various university faculties.
The competition activities are scheduled to continue until next Tuesday, covering the remaining categories: "poetry, theater, and folk folklore," with the results to be announced and winners honored at the conclusion.
Over the coming days, the events will feature a special audience competition including cultural and interactive questions on the Prophet's biography, Islamic history, and folk arts, with valuable prizes allocated to encourage participation, attendance, and engagement.
This event reflects the university's commitment to nurturing students' talents, honing their cultural and artistic abilities, and aligning university activities with the spirit of this great religious occasion, thereby contributing to strengthening faith-based identity and instilling moral values among male and female students.
