Sana'a: The local authority and General Mobilization in the Jihanah District of Sana'a Governorate organized a cultural evening today to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, held under the slogan "By the Lord of the Kaaba, I have won."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by provincial and district officials and focused on the spiritual and political legacy of Imam Ali and its relevance to current regional events. Key speakers included the Director of Jehana District, Saleh Ma'idh, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Yemen Scholars Association, Scholar Khalid Moussa.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of "loyalty" (Wilayah) to Imam Ali and the "Guides of Truth" as a path to dignity and salvation for the nation. They linked the steadfastness of the Yemeni people against external aggression to the foundational principles of courage and sacrifice established by Imam Ali.
Scholar Mahdi al-Attani highlighted the historical significance of the Great Battle of Badr, noting its role in altering the course of Islamic history through divine victory. He asserted that today's conflict is a "battle of awareness and insight," requiring adherence to divine guidance to avoid the pitfalls of past historical deviations.
The local leadership underscored the necessity of fortifying younger generations with "Quranic culture" and faith-based awareness to counter modern ideological threats. The evening concluded with a poem by Mohammed Karshan reflecting on the martyrdom and the enduring values of justice and jihad.
The gathering was attended by various executive office directors and prominent social figures from the district.
