Sana'a: The Neighborhood Affairs Department in Hamdan District, Sana'a Governorate, organized cultural evenings commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). During the evenings, which took place in various neighborhoods including Mahjar Dhala', Munyah, Souq Shamlan, Shahirah in Dhala', and Wadi Dhahr Square, several dignitaries were present. These included the Director of the Neighborhood Affairs Department, Ibrahim Atibah, Head of the Public Works Sector, Abed Shayea, and Deputy Heads of Mobilization and Education Sector, Mahdi al-Najjar and Hussein al-Jarbaani, respectively.
According to Yemen News Agency, speeches delivered during the events emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a significant event in Islamic history. The celebrations were portrayed as a renewal of the community's connection to the teachings of Muhammad, encouraging sincere devotion to his message.
The speeches highlighted that the celebration represents a true expression of faith and a collective effort to confront opposing views that label the event as innovation. The gatherings also called for widespread participation in the grand event on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, emphasizing the significance of commemorating the Prophet as a guide and mentor.
The evenings, attended by several prominent figures from the district, featured hymns and poems that celebrated the grandeur of the occasion, reflecting the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the event.
