Hajjah: The Mawlid Football Tournament for youth players kicked off on Sunday in Al-Mahabsha District, Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament is organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office under the supervision of the governorate office. It features teams from several regions, including Al-Quds, Jaffa, Jenin, Ramallah, Gaza, and the West Bank.
The opening match between Al-Quds and Jaffa ended in a 2-2 draw, setting an exciting tone for the rest of the tournament. District Youth and Sports Office Director Mohammed Al-Madar emphasized the significance of these tournaments in fostering young players' connection to the Prophet Muhammad. He highlighted the role of such events in encouraging youth to emulate the Prophet's example in supporting the oppressed and upholding humanitarian values.
