Al mahwit: A cultural event was held on Saturday at the Central Correctional Facility in Al Mahwit Governorate to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. The event was attended by Chief Prosecutor of the Governorate's Appeal Prosecution, Judge Abdulbari Al-Wazir, Deputy Security Director Brig. Gen. Khaled Al-Shammam, and Central Security Forces Commander Col. Adham Fakhr Al-Din. The event highlighted the importance of commemorating the occasion and drawing lessons from the Prophet's life, particularly his values of faith, mercy, justice, and good conduct.
According to Yemen News Agency, Correctional Facility Director Lt. Col. Mohammed Rukn stated that the occasion provides an opportunity to strengthen awareness of the Prophet's exemplary character and promote adherence to the teachings of the Holy Quran, contributing to personal reform and a cohesive society based on compassion and good values.
Security Moral Guidance Director Lt. Col. Shihab Amer emphasized that the commemoration reflects the Yemeni people's deep attachment to the Prophet and encourages following his example and moral conduct. He stressed the importance of promoting solidarity, cooperation, patience, perseverance, and responsibility in addressing challenges, as well as preserving Islamic values and identity.
In a statement, inmates expressed that the occasion offers an opportunity to reflect on the Prophet's status and exemplary conduct, improve behavior, raise awareness, and strengthen hope among inmates. They also praised efforts to organize cultural and awareness programs at the facility, noting their role in promoting positive values and preparing inmates for constructive reintegration into society.
