Cultural Event in Sana’a Celebrates Launch of Reham Al-Maqdashi’s Novel “Zamhazia”

Sana'a:A cultural event took place in Sana'a to mark the launch of the novel "Zamhazia," subtitled "Not All Doors Open with Keys; Some Open with Blood," by author Reham Saleh Al-Maqdashi. The event saw attendance from distinguished Yemeni writers and literary figures. According to Yemen News Agency, the event, held at the Youth Palace in Sana'a, featured remarks from Abdullah Al-Razehi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the Youth Sector. He praised Al-Maqdashi's talent in crafting a novel that transports readers into legendary epics and dramatic storylines. He highlighted the need for literary works that document Yemen's rich stories and events. Al-Razehi emphasized the significance of chronicling the events surrounding the "Quranic March" movement, as well as the resilience of the Yemeni people in the face of aggression and hardship. He expressed hope that future literary works would reflect the concerns of the nation and receive attention from the Ministries of Culture and Youth. Abd ulkarim Al-Dahhak, Director General of Activities in the Higher Education Sector, also commended Al-Maqdashi's creative talent. He noted that Yemen's story is one of the richest globally and deserves to be told through artistic and narrative forms. He highlighted the need to document the hardships experienced by the Yemeni people and the sacrifices made for the nation's sovereignty. Saleh Al-Maqdashi, the author's father, praised his daughter's achievement in completing her novel, describing it as the realization of a beautiful dream. He commended her literary style and determination. Reham Al-Maqdashi expressed appreciation to the event attendees and emphasized that "Zamhazia" seeks to touch the reader's heart and explore "closed doors" through a literary vision.
